The American Institute of Chemical Engineers is an organization that promotes networking and the development of professionalism, especially in the Chemical and Biochemical Engineering world. We provide a wide variety of resources and expertise. You will be a part of a global network of intelligent and resourceful colleagues that will provide knowledge. We want to help you to move forward professionally and enrich the world we live in. Our student chapter represents and supports the students affiliated with the UC Davis Department of Chemical Engineering. As a member, you will have access to a variety of programs and events that we put on to ensure your success in chemical engineering here in Davis.

Typical events & activities

Professional events such as Night with Industry. Night with Industry is a professional event designed for networking with industry representatives and peers. It consists of a mini career fair and dinner with the industry representatives for a more personal connection.

Resume Workshops.

2 General Meetings per quarter.

Mentorship program in which upperclassmen and lowerclassmen are grouped into a "Family". Being a part of this mentorship program includes fun events such as Mentorship Speed Dating, Mentorship Game Night, and Iron Chef, a cooking competition.

A variety of socials. Some include movie nights, game nights, cookie decorating, outdoor events, and many more.

Benefits of joining

Access to General Meetings in which there are speakers from the engineering industries to inform current students of their respective career path and offer guidance.

Attend networking and social events with industry representatives and other professional clubs.

Attend on-site industry tours to experience the day of a life as an engineer.
